July Currently

I have been missing in action lately. Well, not completely. I've been missing from here and the TpT world, but for good reason. I've been dealing with some family "things" and also helping my Mom prepare to sell her house and move. I'm beyond ecstatic! She is moving up here to live by us. Did I mention that I'm excited?! My Mom is my best friend and one of the most amazing women I've ever known. She was a single mom and always made sure that I had what I needed and would often go without herself. Being an only child, her only grandchildren will be my children so she can't wait to move up here and spend time with my little girl. She's going to help us out with part-time childcare and I'm thankful that she will be able to watch my little one grow up!

So, now that you know a little bit about my past month, how about we talk about what is currently happening? This is my first time linking up with Farley at Oh Boy Fourth Grade!

What's on my agenda for the near future? Vegas baby! I have never been to the I Teach K! conference and I was blessed this year by the fact that my district is paying for my conference registration. I'm going with a small group from my school and we're going to make the most of our time there. We are planning on attending classes during the day and hitting the town at night. I'm also looking forward to meeting up with one of my college roommates. We haven't seen each other since she moved to the Las Vegas area 10 years ago!

I am like a small child as Christmas approaches.
I've started a countdown.
Only 5 more days until my flight leaves!
Will you be in Las Vegas? Any "must do" activities for a first-timer? Hope to see you there!

  5. I hope you had a great time on your Vegas trip. Our district paid for several of our special ed teachers to go (so I saw them for about half a minute while I was there), but I would love to go myself to the other SDE trainings. Hopefully next year! Thank you for visiting my blog!
